VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Long lines at the polls have become the norm during presidential elections and this year is no different.

WAVY.com has heard from numerous voters in Virginia Beach complaining the wait time is excessive. Stacey Noah said she got in line to vote at Green Run High School at 8:45 a.m. and was still waiting nearly four hours later. She said she was going to continue to wait until her vote was counted.

Donna Mitchell also voted at Green Run and had the same experience. She questioned whether or not the polling place had enough voting booths to handle the turnout.

A sign posted at Windsor Woods Elementary School in Virginia Beach Tuesday stated "Approx. 2 hr wait. 65 and older or disabled may vote from automobile."

If you experience any problems at your polling location, send the information to ReportIt@WAVY.co m and we'll look into it.
