VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A judge promptly revoked a woman’s bond after she reportedly ran from a courtroom and went the wrong way on an escalator Tuesday.

According to Macie Pridgen with the Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Nicole Hill was supposed to go on trial for three counts of malicious wounding, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and destruction of property with a value more than $1,000. That trial was continued.

Pridgen added Hill ran from the courtroom and went the wrong way on an escalator before almost knocking down a paralegal from the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

Hill was apprehended and returned to the courtroom, where a judge revoked her bond.
