Suffolk woman admits to filing 900 false medicaid claims

Woman admits to health care fraud

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Suffolk woman admitted to filing 900 Medicaid claims for care her company never provided.

She received $630,000.

42-year-old Janice Holland also pleaded guilty to alteration of records and identity theft, during her court appearance in Norfolk Tuesday.

She is scheduled to be sentenced in Norfolk Federal Court in January. She faces up to 20 years in prison.

Holland owned and operated a home health care business in Suffolk called "A Caring Hand Home Health Care Services Inc."
