HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - The Hampton Police Division has arrested a 20-year-old woman in connection to a parking lot shooting Friday evening.

Sgt. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division said officers were dispatched to the 300 block of South Back River Road around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting. There, they found the 20-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

According to Price, the victim and 20-year-old Lemon Rosetta Hill got into a verbal argument in the parking lot of Sara’s Market. During the argument, Hill reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

Hill was arrested Sunday and charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding and one count of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. She remains incarcerated in the Hampton City Jail at this time.
