PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Portsmouth Police are seeking the public's help to identify a man wanted in an early morning Walgreens robbery.
Officer were called to the business in the 5900 block of High Street at around 2:30 a.m. Sept. 21.
Detectives learned that a man entered the business, approached two female clerks and ordered them, at gunpoint, to walk to the rear office.
He ordered one of the clerks to open a safe. Once he removed money from the safe, he ordered the clerks back to the front of the business where he had them open the registers.
The suspect ordered the clerks to return to the back of the store and he left.
Once he was gone, the employees went to the pharmacy where the told a third clerk about what happened. That clerk called police.
Police released surveillance pictures of the suspect at the time of the robbery.
