VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police have launched an investigation after a credit union was robbed at gunpoint Friday morning.
Jimmy Barnes with the Virginia Beach Police Department said the Chartway Federal Credit Union on Holland Road was robbed around 9:30 a.m.
No one was injured during the robbery. Barnes said the suspect was wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt, sunglasses and had a bandana covering his face. He was carrying a black frame handgun.
In November of 2011, the same branch was robbed by an unarmed man.
