Thieves caught on video in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Surveillance video captured two men stealing from an R.S. Andrews warehouse in Portsmouth Thursday.

The two men walked into the back of the warehouse and after checking to see if they were being watched, walked out with an air compressor with $200. The pair then drove off in the back of a silver sedan.

“We’re not exactly hopeful that we will get the air compressor back, but if they are caught and put behind bars, that’s really what it’s all about,” Production Manager Bill Etzler told WAVY.com.

Police took fingerprints from the door and are studying the surveillance video, which gives good views of the thieves’ faces.

R.S. Andrews plans to keep its doors locked from now on.
