CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A Chesapeake teen pled guilty to a reckless driving charge in connection to a deadly crash that claimed the life of a prominent veterinarian.

Lauralee Moose, 18, pled guilty to reckless driving and was sentenced to serve six months in jail, according to Chesapeake Commonweath's Attorney Nancy Parr told WAVY.com. The jail sentence was suspended on the condition Moose take a DMV-approved driver improvement class, perform 25 hours of community service and be on good behavior for three years.

The deadly crash occurred on Nov. 15 along Shillelagh Road just before 8:30 a.m. Moose's Isuzu Rodeo crossed the center line and struck a minivan driven by Ruth Ann MacQueen not far from MacQueen's home.

MacQueen owned Midway Veterinary Hospital in Chespeake.
