Teen charged after NN hit and run

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Newport News Police have arrested a teen after officers say he fled the scene of a crash with minors in his vehicle Tuesday.

Lou Thurston with the Newport News Police Department told WAVY.com officers arrested Arturo Baustista, 18, of Newport News and charged him with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor shortly before 11:45 p.m.

According to police, Baustista was involved in a minor crash but did not stop. Officers located him at Hogan Drive and Jefferson Avenue not long after.

Two 16-year-olds and one 15-year-old were also in the vehicle.

Further details surrounding the crash and arrest were not available.
