VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a suspect attempting to rob a pizza delivery driver got away with the victim's vehicle, but returned it shortly after the incident.
According to Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department, the delivery driver completed his delivery in the 1000 block of Autumn Woods Court at approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday.
While the driver was walking back to his car, a man jumped out of the bushes, threatened he had a knife and demanded money from the delivery driver.
Moyers said the victim then ran away and dropped his keys in the process. The suspect picked up the keys and took the victim's car on a short ride, returning it to the scene of the crime.
The suspect is described as a white man wearing khaki pants.
Neighbors say they saw a man matching the suspect description tampering with cars earlier that evening.
