SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Police are searching for anyone responsible for breaking into a Suffolk church Friday morning.
Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk told WAVY.com officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Godwin Boulevard for a report of a breaking and entering at the Bridge of Life Christian Church and Chuckatuck Historical Society at 9:30 a.m.
A complainant reported receiving a call about the panel to the door of the business was pushed out and a light was on inside. When he arrived on scene, he found the building had been broken into.
Further investigation revealed someone broke into the church and opened the safe. No cash was left inside. While the desk drawers in another office were ransacked, nothing was taken.
