VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police need help identifying a man who reportedly stole several items from a 7-Eleven on two occasions.

According to Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department, the suspect, described as a heavy set white male, entered the 7-Eleven located at 3312 Holland Road around 1:30 a.m. Aug. 6 and took several items without paying.

The same suspect entered the store again on Aug. 18 around 11:30 a.m. and stole items he concealed.

Moyers said the same clerk was working on both occasions and saw the suspect take the items. The suspect also reportedly tried to reach over the counter in an effort to steal cigarettes.

The suspect, who was captured on the store’s surveillance, was seen leaving the store on a yellow and black or green and black scooter.

He has been described as being in his 50s or 60s and weighs between 280 and 300 pounds. In both thefts, he was wearing gray and black swim trunks.
