Suspect charged with destroying cruiser

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A juvenile male has been arrested for reportedly kicking out a police cruiser’s window and causing more than $1,000 in damage Saturday evening.

Debbie George with the City of Suffolk told WAVY.com officers were attempting to take the juvenile in for a mental evaluation when he assaulted two officers and kicked the window out of the cruiser along Bosley Avenue.

According to police, the suspect threatened the officers and also threatened to stab and kill another person on scene.

He has been charged with two counts of felony assault on a police officer, felony destruction of property, attempting to disarm a police officer of pepper spray, obstruction of justice, threaten to kill and disorderly conduct.

His age is unknown.
