SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Officials say an arrest has been made in connection with a Suffolk apartment vandalism and arson
According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, crews were dispatched to a vacant apartment in the Suffolk Station Apartments on the 1200 block of Forest Oak Lane early Wednesday morning.
Crews saw a piece of plywood had been removed from a glass door and the glass was shattered. Smoke and soot-covered windows were spotted by crews, which extinguished the fire shortly thereafter.
Thursday, Klink said 27-year-old Dwayne Eddie Goodman, Jr. of Suffolk was charged with arson, destruction of property and breaking and entering.
He's being held in jail without bond.
