NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - One man was killed and second injured in a shooting on E. Princess Anne Road Friday night.
According to Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department, officers responded to the 4900 block of East Princess Anne Road for a male gunshot victim around 10:12 Friday night.
Police say that 21-year-old Travis Lee Bryant and some acquaintances were standing outside in the 4900 block of E. Princess Anne Road when someone fired multiple gunshots in their direction. Bryant and another man were struck by the gunfire.
Bryant was taken to Sentara Leigh Hospital in a private vehicle. He was was transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where later died from his injures.
The second gunshot victim ran from the scene and was later found by medics who transported him to Sentara Norfolk General where he is listed in critical condition.
Information on a possible suspect or suspects has not been released. Police also have not released information on the motive for the shooting.
