DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - Officials say two Dare County men have been charged for violating sex offender registration guidelines.
According to Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard with the Dare County Sheriff's Office, Marvin T. Scarborough, 49, was charged with failing to report in person as a sex offender. Scarborough was released on a $10,000 bond.
Stephen D. Mitchell, 56, was charged with failing to report in person when he did not report an address change. He was committed to the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
