NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A man was reportedly pistol whipped when he tried to remove his fiancée from a 32-year-old man’s home on June 13.
According to Harold Eley with the Newport News Police Department, Tremelo Lewis, 32, of Newport News got into a fight with a Richmond man in the front yard of his home around 2:45 p.m.
During the fight, Lewis reportedly struck the victim in the head with a handgun, requiring stitches, and the whole fight was seen by officers.
The whole thing started when the victim went to Lewis’ home to retrieve his fiancée, according to Eley.
Lewis has been charged with malicious wounding.
