PD: Man hid handgun in van's glovebox

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Suffolk man was arrested Wednesday for carrying a loaded handgun in his van's glovebox.
According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, police heard gunshots at approximately 2 a.m. in the area of Wellons Street.
When they approached the area, a van with its high beams on drove toward them in the opposite direction. When the driver was pulled over, officers found a handgun with a fully loaded magazine next to it in the van's unlocked glove compartment.
Brandon Colbert, 22, was charge with carrying a concealed weapon.
