SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Suffolk woman watched a man drop off a deceased cat out of his vehicle Tuesday, according to city officials.

According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, a woman said she saw a man "dump" a cat out of a moving car in the 4100 block of Pruden Boulevard at approximately 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8.

The woman said the car was a white pickup truck with a logo on the side. She said she saw the truck slow down, then speed back up, and then she saw a cat rolling on the side of the road, according to Klink.

Klink said the cat was deceased when it was found and the incident remains under investigation by Suffolk Animal Control.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged white man with short hair.
