NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Police say two men armed with weapons robbed a Newport News Arby's Wednesday evening.
According to Harold Eley with the Newport News Police Department, the two suspects entered the restaurant at 100 Arthur Way just after 11 p.m. Dec. 19.
A manager of the store told police one employee was approached by the suspects while taking out trash.
The suspects, whose faces were concealed with masks, forced the employee back inside where they forced the manager to open up the store's safe at gunpoint.
While this was happening, the manager says two other employees were forced to lie down on the ground. Allegedly, another employee was mopping the floor in another area of the business and had no knowledge of the robbery.
The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and are described as white men in their early 20s, wearing ski masks, gloves and dark clothing.
