SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A North Carolina man is facing a child pornography charge after Suffolk Police say he tried to solicit a minor to pose nude for photographs.
Debbie George with the City of Suffolk said police arrested Mark Tracy Baines, 31, Jr., of Gates Wednesday on a charge of produce, distribute, finance child pornography.
An investigation revealed Baines tried to solicit who he believed was a minor to pose nude and participate in sexual activities, George said.
“Baines claimed to be a part-time photographer operating under the name OBX HOTSHOTS and indicated he was looking for female models,” George added. Baines is currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
George said a search was done at Baine’s home in Gates and several computers were seized. Additional charges are possible.
