HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Two men have pleaded guilty for their involvement in a drug conspiracy and shoot out in a Walmart parking lot in December.

According to the U.S. District Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, Randell Lamont Woods, 23 pled guilty Monday for conspiracy to distribute cocaine base and cocaine while his co-conspirator, 27-year-old David L. Andrews pled guilty on June 5 to participating in the drug conspiracy while in possession of a firearm.

On Dec. 27, Woods and Andrews went to deliver cocaine base during a drug deal at the Walmart parking lot in Hampton. When 29-year-old Christopher Vinson arrived, an argument broke out which resulted in the exchange of gunfire between Vinson, Woods and Andrews, the office of Neil H. MacBride said.

About 25 shots from three different handguns were fired and Woods and Andrews were apprehended after a 7-hour standoff at a Hampton motel.

Vinson was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

MacBride’s office added Woods will be sentenced on Sept. 27 and faces a mandatory minimum of five years behind bars while Andrews will be sentenced on Sept. 24. Andrews also faces a minimum of five years behind bars for the drug charge and a consecutive five-year sentence for the firearm charge.

Vinson will be sentenced on Aug. 13 and faces a maximum of 10 years behind bars.
