HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a 29-year-old man who was shot in the chest at a Hampton McDonald's is in critical condition.
Cpl. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division says the incident was reported at 10:18 p.m. in the 1500 block of E. Pembroke Avenue. Price says a verbal argument ensued between two groups in the parking lot of a McDonald's.
Price says one suspect brandished a firearm and shot the 29-year-old once in the chest. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan. Price says the suspect and the victim did not know each other.
