NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A Portsmouth man will spend 20 years in prison for selling bath salts online for more than a year.
According to Neil MacBride with the US Attorney's Office in Norfolk, Michael Haddock, 32, will also face an additional three years of supervised release.
Haddock was arrested last year, and charged with conspiring to distribute analogues of controlled substances, or bath salts.
MacBride said Haddock had imported the drug from China and had used more than 27 kilograms of bath salts in his year-long online business.
Investigators found powders, scales, spoons and packaging materials in his home, along with two firearms.
Haddock pleaded guilty in December 2012.
