JCC man arrested for selling moonshine

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Officials report a James City County man was arrested Thursday for selling moonshine while in possession of firearms. 

According to a news release from the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, Ronald Leroy Lassiter, 64, was arrested following a search warrant in the 100 block of Selby Lane.

Officials said they recovered three gallons of moonshine, an untaxed alcoholic beverage, more than $4,900, four firearms and various amounts of alcohol from his home.

Lassiter was arrested on five charges of possession of untaxed beverage, five misdemeanor charges for sale of alcohol without a license and two felony charges for the sale of alcoholic beverages while in the possession of a firearm.
