NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A man wanted for a murder in Rhode Island was arrested at a Norfolk store Wednesday afternoon.
According to US Marshals, Darrell Johnson was wanted for the July 2012 murder of Joshua Bargo. Allegedly, an altercation broke out between two groups and Johnson shot Bargo in the chest.
Marshals say the rivalry between the two groups has been ongoing and at least five other people have been shot since May.
Marshals contacted Norfolk deputies Nov. 24 and informed them Johnson could be in the area. On Wednesday, Norfolk deputies saw a man matching Johnson's description leaving a home and walking toward a convenience store.
They apprehended him inside of the store at approximately 12 p.m.
