SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The father of a 3-year-old child who was shot at a Suffolk apartment complex in June was indicted in court Tuesday.
Michael Goodman of the 400 block of South 6th Street was charged with malicious wounding and two counts of child endangerment when the child was shot in the shoulder June 15.
A neighbor speaking on condition of anonymity told WAVY.com in June how the scene unfolded: "The father of the baby, the mother and the other man everybody was arguing. The father went back out to his car and got a gun and he shot up. He's downstairs. He shot up. He didn't mean to shoot his baby, but he just shot up and shot the baby."
Goodman is expected back in court next month.
