Eastern Shore arsons climb above 60

EASTERN SHORE, Va. (WAVY) - Yet another arson has sparked on the Eastern Shore, according to Virginia State Police.

Sgt. Michelle Anaya with the Virginia State Police said the arson occurred in the 29500 block of Lankford Highway in Melfa. Troopers were alerted to the fire at a single-story unoccupied commercial building around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

No injuries were reported.

Again, investigators ask anyone who may have any information on the rash of arsons on the Eastern Shore to come forward. A reward of $25,000 is still available for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
