VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a dispute between two people led to a shooting at a Virginia Beach gas station Monday evening.
According to Margie Hobbs with the Virginia Beach Police Department, two men got into a dispute at the Exxon station in the 1300 block of North Great Neck Road at approximately 5:40 p.m.
The victim received a gunshot wound to the neck and was transported to a hospital for treatment. He is listed in critical condition.
Jimmy Barnes with the Virginia Beach Police Department said detectives obtained a possible license plate and responded to the address associated with the tag. The suspect, 54-year-old John Wade McCrory of Virginia Beach, was arrested and has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a crime.
