Complaint sparks sexual battery arrest

SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 30-year-old man on charges of aggravated sexual battery involving a juvenile.
Maj. Gene Drewery with the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested Chris Holt of Wakefield in connection to an assault that occurred in September of 2007 in the Ivor area. The complaint was made on Nov. 29, 2012.
According to Drewery, Holt and the juvenile female victim are not related. Further information was not released.
Holds is incarcerated in the Southampton County Jail under no bond.
