SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A five-month-old Doberman Pinscher was reportedly stolen from a Suffolk shop Monday afternoon.
According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, someone stole Chippy Champ the puppy from an auto/glass repair shop along West Washington Street just before 3 p.m. Chippy Champ’s owner keeps the puppy tied to a table at the shop.
Al Wiggins told WAVY.com he stepped inside to answer the phone and when he came back the puppy was gone.
Wiggins also said this is not the first time someone has stolen a dog from him. Five years ago he had another taken in the same way.
"I'm out here struggling like everybody else, why would you come and try to take my mess?" Wiggins said.
He never got that dog back, but hopes someone will bring Chippy Champ back home.
Chippy Champ’s ears were not cropped and its tail was not docked yet. He is brownish red in color.
