Chartway robbed in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police are looking for a man they say robbed the Chartway Federal Credit Union located in the 3800 block of Holland Road in Virginia Beach late Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say the suspect entered the bank, handed a teller a note demanding money and implied he had a weapon. The teller complied and the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect has been described as a white male in his 30s, five-foot-10-inches tall, 180-200 pounds, with a few days growth of reddish/brown facial hair. He was wearing a tan baseball cap, reading glasses, a white long sleeved shirt with an unknown design on the back, khaki shorts and sneakers.
