Blind woman's credit card stolen

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Suffolk Police are investigating a case of credit card fraud after a blind woman’s check card was used without her permission.

Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk told WAVY.com an officer met with the 33-year-old victim around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The victim said she noticed her Navy Federal VISA check card was missing from her wallet around 9 a.m. Oct. 1.

She told her caregiver and sister, who contacted the bank. According to the victim, the bank said there had been activity on the card.

The case remains under investigation. Further details including where the card was used and if there are any possible suspects have not been released.

Anyone with information should call the Suffolk Police Department.
