Barber shop robbery suspects ID'd

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - According to police, two men have identified in connection with a June 18 robbery of a Hampton barbershop.

Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division says 32-year-old Darrick Riddick and 28-year-old Eugene Geno Riddick, both of Norfolk, have been identified as suspects responsible for robbing the Greenwood Barber Shop on the 2500 block of Mercury Boulevard. A third suspect has not been identified.

Price says police have warrants on file for both men on two counts of robbery, two counts of abduction, two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony and one count of use of firearm in commission of a felony. Additionally, Darrick Riddick has another warrant on file for one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police say the three men entered the barber shop at 6 p.m. and demanded money from an employee and a customer. The men had fled on foot toward Greenwood Drive after taking victims' wallets and cell phones.
