NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Police are seeking the public's help in identifying two men who allegedly robbed a Newport News business Tuesday morning.

According to Lou Thurston with the Newport News Police Department, the two men entered the MegaBass store in the 10700 block of Jefferson Avenue at 11 a.m. Oct. 2.

Thurston says one of the men pulled out a handgun after a customer left the store and demanded the owner open up a safe. The owner told the men he did not have a safe, at which point the suspects taped the owner's hands to his sides and placed him in a room in the back of the store.

Police say the men got away with cash from the store's register, a laptop computer from the counter and a computer storage device.

The two men fled on foot following the robbery.

The first suspect is described as a bald black man, standing between 5'7" and 5'10", weighing between 180 and 190 pounds, sporting a goatee. The second man is described as having a trimmed thin full beard and a close cut haircut.
