CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Three people stole four air conditioning units from an assisted living facility in Chesapeake and were caught on camera.

Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department said the theft occurred on Feb. 27 at Carebridge Assisted Living in the 200 block of Rainbow Lane. The estimated value of the units is $25,000.

On top of the theft, the suspects damaged a fifth unit as they tried to remove it. The damage cost about $1,000.

O’Sullivan said the suspects can be seen on camera transporting the units on a four-wheel handcart to a white panel van. There may be a black stripe on the bottom side of the van.
