NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - USS Laboon returns to Norfolk Monday after a historical deployment with one of the most advanced weapons systems in the Navy.
USS Laboon, equipped with 35 officers and 240 sailors, left Norfolk on July 11. The crew supported Ballistic Missile Defense Operations and provide maritime security in the Sixth Fleet Area of Operations.

During the deployment, Laboon had 83 sailors who received enlisted surface warfare qualifications. 40 sailors also re-enlisted.
