NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - THe USS Forrest Sherman returned home to Naval Station Norfolk Tuesday.
The ship deployed July 3 for the Mediterranean and Arabian Seas and conducted counter-piracy operations off the Horn of Africa and patrolled the Arabian Sea.

USS Forrest Sherman is named after Adm. Forrest Percival Sherman, who was awarded the Purple Heart.
