USS Albany to return Friday

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The crew of USS Albany will return to Naval Station Norfolk Friday, March 8 after an eight month deployment.

Albany, a Los Angeles-class submarine, is returning from a 40,000 nautical mile deployment in the European Command area of responsibility. Crews conducted port visits in Portugal, Notway, Scotland and Spain.

The USS Albany was commissioned in April 1990 and built by Newport News Shipbuilding.
