Norfolk native soldier honored in NY

NEW YORK (WAVY) - Norfolk native Joseph A. Green was one of several service members honored last week during National POW/MIA Recognition Day.

Green, five service members and a Department of Defense civilian traveled to New York to help ring the Stock Exchange's Closing Bell Sept. 21.

Green, 36, is a 1994 graduate of Bob Jones High School and his parents live in Norfolk. He enlisted in the Army in 2003.

Green is a non-commissioned officer in charge of the Port Mortuary's Family Support Team at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.
