NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Navy has released a Draft Environmental Assessment evaluating potential environmental effects of Navy's proposal to conduct practice landing operations at either the Emporia-Greensville location or Wallops.
Ted Brown with the U.S. Fleet Forces Command says the Navy has not identified which site will be used. According to Brown, the E-2 Hawkeye and C-2 Greyhound aircrafts used would conduct up to 20,000 FLCP passes annually at whichever site is selected.
A Navy spokesman told WAVY.com there will be several public meetings scheduled in the potential areas.
