Heroes at Home Military Spouse Awards

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) - Some call it the toughest job in the armed forces, being a military spouse.
Thursday, 10 On Your Side and the Flagship and Military Newspapers of Virginia sponsored the annual Heroes at Home Military Spouse awards. Each of the 10 finalists was deserving, but WAVY’s Tom Shaad had the honor of making the announcement of the winner, Toni Hall.
Hall’s husband is an Air Force Chief Master Sergeant from Joint Base Langley Eustis.
“This is an honor and nothing that I ever expected, and it’s not just me,” Hall said. “There are a lot more spouses that are exactly what I’m doing.”
Among the gifts for Toni, $1,000 in groceries, a night’s stay and massage at the Founders Inn and a scholarship to Regent University.
