Change of command held for USS Boise

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - In a change of command ceremony Friday, Cmdr. Scott Luers relieved Cmdr. Brian Sittlow as the commanding officer of the USS Boise at Naval Station Norfolk.

According to a news release from the Navy, Sittlow was recognized for his achievements with the 2012 Vice Admiral James B. Stockdale Inspirational Leadership Award.

Luers is the Boise's 10th commanding officer.
