Buzz: 'Beautiful People'

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - According to New York Daily News, Beautifulpeople.com, recently released 5,000 of it's members due to the fact they gained weight over the holidays.

Some are saying it was a smart business move, others are saying it's just plain mean -- and will just stir up bad PR for the company.

The founder of Beautifulpeople.com, Robert Hintze, released a statement that said, "As a business, we mourn the loss of any member, but the fact remains that our members demand the high standard of beauty be upheld. Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to our business model and the very concept for which BeautifulPeople.com was founded."
