VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach emergency crews responded to the scene of a serious accident Friday morning in the 3700 block of Bonney Road, near Baxter Road.
A gray car was flipped over in a grassy area and the driver was trapped, police spokesperson Adam Bernstein told WAVY.com.
When officers arrived, they discovered the driver had critical injuries. His legs were crushed.
Police say it appears the man had been trapped in his car for a long time. He was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
No word on what caused the single vehicle accident.
