Hampton Roads Hero: Dustyn Brown

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVBT) - Rebecca nominated her husband Dustyn Brown to be chosen as this week's Hampton Roads Hero.

Dustyn is a hard working husband and father, serving proudly in the United States Navy.

In her nomination letter, Rebecca had this to say about Dustyn, "A cancerous tumor formed on my placenta during my pregnancy and from there, spread to my lungs. My husband stood by my side in more ways than one through it all! My husband took care of me during my chemo, took care of our newborn baby all night long while having to wake up to go to work the next day. He took over everything I used to do, such as cleaning, cooking, laundry and grocery shopping. Not once did he complain! His selflessness, love and honor is one I never experienced before."
