VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVBT) - Vonda Dunn nominated her friend Carol KromKowski to be chosen as this week's Hampton Roads Hero.
Carol is a wife, mom, employee and volunteer who lets no adversity stand her way.
In her nomination letter, Vonda had this to say about Carol, "In spite of anything that stands in her way she excels at everything she touches. Her family lost their home in the last flood and had to relocate numerous times while their home was being rebuilt (which took about a year). In spite of her life being turned upside down she still manages to be super-mom, super-wife, super-employee, super-volunteer and super-neighbor.
She has two children in elementary school and her husband has been deployed since March and is not expected to return until November.
She is president of the Lynnhaven Colony Civil League, Vice President of the John B. Dey Elementary School PTA, a room parent, a Girl Scout Leader, a participant in the Boy Scouts (while her husband, the Boy Scout Leader, is deployed) as well as a top notch paralegal for my law firm.
She is well deserved of this honor and this nomination collectively comes from my entire staff!
