Hampton Roads Hero: Mariah Smith

Norfolk, Va. (WVBT) - James Lee nominated, Mariah Smith a 19 year old who started a local charity called Blankets For The Homeless. He was touched by the teen’s desire to help and do such a selfless act on behalf of humanity.  She was abandoned at birth and later adopted and because she had to live life early without certainty of a home, she feels its her moral obligation to help those who may not have had the same blessing and rescue she had.
