New jobs coming to Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Wednesday, the Virginia Beach Development Authority authorized funds from the Economic Development Investment Program to bring South University to Virginia Beach.

South University confers associate, bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees through its Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Health Professions and Nursing, and School of Pharmacy. It will bring approximately 100 full-time positions to the area.

In addition, funds were released to help Hermes Abrasives keep it's Virginia Beach offices open, preserving 140 jobs and creating 30 new openings in the company.
