Why use a designer?

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVBT) - Do-it-yourself projects can be fun and thrifty, but when is it time to hire a professional?

For answers we turned to designer Kara Hughes, who came on the show to talk about the benefits of getting help with your home or office design projects.

Kara will take part in the Holiday Open House in Poquoson the first weekend in November.  From Friday, Nov. 5th through Sunday, Nov 7, all the shops taking part will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and offer refreshments while customers wander around and explore the shops.
